Ticket prices: 19.00 Adults,10.00 Concessions
Tickets are on sale to season ticket holders and members only. Two tickets per person.

Away fans are usually located at one end of the ground in the North Stand (usually in the upper tier only

The best advice is "be careful". They loathe us and I would not recommend drinking in the New Cross area or wearing Palace colours...

However if you are brave enough to face the Lion’s Den this year - (one contribution to I to the travel bulletin was just ‘don’t go’!!) then read on!!

DISABLED FACILITIES

Spaces for 50 away supporters in an area about half - way up in the West Stand. The facitilities and view are good, although subject to viewing restrictions, unfortunately however you have to sit with the home supporters and helpers in particular may want to remove colours when moving around in the stand.

The cost is free for the disabled person, and 10.00 for the helper, booking is not necessary.

10 parking bays are available - again removing all palace stickers etc. is advisable, as spaces are located outside the main home supporters stand. There is one space for an away supporter in car park behind North Stand.

For blind supporters, there are 2 headsets available allowing supporters to sit where they like - but they need to be booked.

PALACE COACH TRAVEL:

Depart Selhurst at 10am. Gold members 7.50, season ticket holders 9.00 and all guests 10.00

DIRECTIONS TO THE GROUND

It's probably best to go by car to this ground, as at least you can get away fairly quickly after the game and in view of the lack of trains there is basically a choice between buses, car or coach. Having said that, beware of where you park your car - I have previously been advised to remove all traces of Palace stickers etc!! There are number of ways of getting to the ground

from the South follow the A2 into London from Junction 2 of the M25 (signposted London A2, Dartford A225). Keep left where road divides (London SE A2) onton the A2 dual carriageway. Exit A2 after just over 10 miles (Central London A2) at roundabout turn left (central London A2) onton the A2 Shooters Hill. Straight on for just over 2 miles - signposted Deptford & New Cross. Under railway bridge, then take right hand filter turning right into Detpford Church Street. Straight on for just under 1/2 a mile, over roundabout, to t-junction - turn left into A200 Evelyn Street - straight on past KFC, over bridge, turn left into Grinstead Road (before Shell Station on right). follow road over mini-roundabout to t-junction. Turn right into Ilderton Road, and right again towards ground.

From other directions:
Exit M25 junction 7 - follow signs to London (NE) M11 - onto M11 southbound. After just over 7 miles bear left, onto North Circular Road. After nearly 5 miles at roundabout turn right onto A13, follow signs to Blackwall Tunnel for 4 miles, and then left following signs to Blackwall Tunnell. From Tunnel stay on A102 (M) for nearly 2 miles - exit a signpost Central London A2. At roundabout turn right onto A2 Shooters Hill.

Another useful route is to via Crystal Palace, Dulwich and South Circular – through to Lewisham and on to Millwall.

Street parking can be found on the small estate on your left just past the ground. There are no sizeable car parks around the ground

BY UNDERGROUND:
District Line (Green) towards Upminster (Eastbound) change at Whitechapel to East London line (orange) towards Surrey Quays.
From Surrey Quays - left hand exit from station - turn left along Rotherhithe Old Road, at T-junction by Auto Screen, turn right into Rotherhithe New Road. Straight on for 0.3 miles, crossing roundabout, under railway arches, past Bermondsey Trading Estate under another railway bridge, turn left inotn Ilderton Road - after 1/4 of a mile turn left into Zampa Road

Boxing day timetables are running on a Sunday Service

BY TRAIN

Boxing Day trains mean that usual routes to Millwall are not available.

BY BUS:
Nr.36 towards New Cross / Lewisham, get off at New Cross
No 21, 53, 78 run along the Old Kent Road

P11 runs along rotherhithe New Road
P13 travels from Streatham to Surrey Quays via Ilderton Road

DRINKING

Bear in mind that some pubs may choose not to open.

Marquis of Granby :
Halfway between the two railway stations. It is an Irish bar doing the obligatory Guinness and Caffreys. Nice atmosphere, pool tables, but no food.

New Cross Inn:
Diagonally opposite the Marquis. This has wooden floors and does a reasonable Guinness. Usually fairly empty on an afternoon it becomes very popular later in the evening when the live band starts up.

Hobgoblin:
Formerly the extremely dire 'Rose Inn' this has had a facelift in recent years and change in management courtesy of the Hobgoblin chain. It is almost directly opposite New Cross Gate station and is run by a Palace fan (Brodie). It contains the usual array of lagers, a few ales, and a large range of wines and spirits.

It is the only pub doing food and provides baps (£2), jacket potatoes (£2), omlettes (£2.50), burgers (£2), ploughman's (£3.50), scampi/chips/salad, steak/chips/salad (£3.95). There are usually three or four daily specials as well and vegetarians are catered for.

None of the pubs are really used by the home fans. The Marquis has a couple of Millwall supporters as does the New Cross Inn. There are about a dozen in the Hobgoblin but these are regulars and are well known by the management - who will not tolerate any trouble.

If you go into the Hobgoblin there are a couple of pictures of a baby behind the bar. This is Brodie's son and a young Palace supporter so be free with the compliments.

Other than that I wouldn't recommend drinking around the ground, most of the pubs are home only and you can drink inside the ground (Lager, Bitter & Beer are on offer), or alternatively stop en route.

FOOD
Nearest takeaway is Moby Dick’s on Ilderton Road near Rollins Street. Next door is the Ilderton Cafe, also along this road are shops including a bakers & chinese. There are several other places to eat around the area - including Sunshine Cafe on Rotherhithe New Road, Docklands Cafe at the junction of Rotherhithe New Road & Lower Road.

Some reasonably decent food such as chicken and chips is sold within the ground.
