Millmoor Lane turnstiles for Millmoor Lane & Railway End.

Away fans are housed at one end of the ground in the Railway End, where just over 2,000 fans can be accommodated. This end is covered and all seated and it doesn't take a lot of away fans to really make some noise from this stand. On the downside there are a couple of supporting pillars which could impede your view.

HOW TO GET THERE
From North & West Exit M1 at junction 34 (s/p Sheffield (Meadowhall), Rotherham A6109) and at roundabout take 2nd exit (s/p Rotherham A6109) into Meadowbank Road. At lights after 1.4 miles (by 'Wilton' pub) turn right (n/s) into Kimberworth Road. At T-junction after 0.4 miles turn left over bridge to ground. parking: You have two options 1) after going over the bridge imediately turn a sharp left, then left to go under the bridge into the club car park, a small fee for parking. 2) go over the bridge and follow the road to a roundabout, here take the 3rd exit and then a sharp left into the visitors car park. This car park is informal - simply park where you see the other parked cars.


Alternative route from North & West via A629: Exit M1 at junction 35. At roundabout turn left, sign-posted Rotherham (A629) onto Upper Wortley Road. Follow for approx 4 miles. At second roundabout (College Road) turn right onto Centenary Way, sign-posted M1 South, M18, Sheffield A630. At the Masbrough roundabout turn right to Millmoor. At Masbrough roundabout after 0.4 miles you have two options for parking: 1) go straight over roundabout and turn a sharp left into the visitors car park section. 2) turn right at roundabout and then the second road on your right (opposite ground). Go forward then turn left under the bridge for the club car park.

From South (M1): Exit M1 at junction 33 (s/p Sheffield Centre, Rotherham A630). At motorway roundabout turn right (s/p Rotherham A630) onto The Rotherway. At first roundabout after 0.4 miles turn left (s/p Rotherham A630) onto West Bawtry Road. At Canklow roundabout after 0.7 miles turn right (s/p Rotherham A630), and go straight on at Ickles Roundabout after 1.1 miles (s/p Doncaster A630, Barnsley) and over River Don. At Masbrough Roundabout after 0.4 miles turn left to ground (s/p Masbrough, Public Weighbridge) see parking details above) or go right round the roundabout for Visitors Parking.

From South & East (M18): Exit M18 at junction 1, sign-posted Rotherham A631. Follow signs to Sheffield (A631) for approx 4.5 miles, over the Wickersley, Brecks and Worrygoose Roundabouts to the Rotherway roundabout. Here go straight on following the A630 West Bawtry Road to Rotherham. Then at roundabout, turn right. Follow road approx 1.5 miles, go straight on at Ickles roundabout, sign-posted Doncaster A630, Barnsley. At Masbrough roundabout after approx 0.5 miles turn left to ground. see parking details above or go right round the roundabout for Visitors Parking


Parking

The main car park for away fans is signposted off the Masbrough Roundabout. Those approaching from the south have to drive right round the roundabout, heading back up Centenary Way. The car park is informal - simply park where you can see the other parked cars. There's a small car park by the Phoenix pub in college street, but there is a small fee. (See directions on alternative parking). The main club car park is at the front of the ground, from the A630 turn onto Masborough Street and across from the ground turn right and straight away turn left, go straight on and turn left to go under the bridge into the car park entrance There is also limited street parking.

Departs Holmesdale road 6.15am. Gold members £16, Season ticket holders / members £18 / Guests £20

FROM THE TRAIN
The ground is walkable from Rotherham train station, which is a five to ten minute walk about 0.5 miles to ground. By foot: Turn left out of station into College Road. After about 30 yards turn left again into Masbrough Street (no signpost). At end of street go into subway, straight across centre area and up stairs on left into the continuation of Masbrough Street to ground.

For those travelling by the palace train a reminder of times : Depart London Kings Cross 8.40am - Arrive Rotherham 11.25am (via Doncaster) Return train 2.29 or later from Rotherham to Doncaster, Doncaster 18.23 – arrive Kings Cross at 8.26pm (althouth it may be possible to get an earlier train from Doncaster)

Around 3 or 4 tickets have become available via Chris & Gildo Call Chris or Gildo any evening after 7pm.

BY BUS

The following buses run past Millmoor: the 137 & 138 (to Kimberworth & Meadowhall), the 602 to (Meadowhall) and the X78.

WHERE TO DRINK
'The Queens' is apparently best avoided by away supporters according to the Internet Football Fan’s guide – however I have also been told that there is no problem for away fans.. the choice is yours!!!

The Tivoli Club is attached to the front of the ground and welcomes visiting supporters. A nightclub which opens for match days.

The Millmoor: Masbrough Street (01709) 512 123. Stones. This is the place, says the landlord, for 'a good drink in a friendly atmosphere'. Away fans are welcome, Sandwiches and hot pies are served. Pool, darts, TV, families welcome. Open 12-4 & 5 – 11.30

Moulders Rest : Masbrough Street (01709) 560 095 . Free House. Traditional family local. Food available weekdays only. Free pool table, darts, TV, beer garden. Famlies welcome. Open 12-4, 7-11 (right on a big roundabout close to the ground) Small, very friendly and no problem for away fans. Always a guest ale but no food.


The Kingfisher: 17 Mary Street (01709) 838422 Old Mill (traditional beers). Another favourate with top quality beers and a friendly (and peaceful!) atmosphere. Limited menu, though the pie and peas are always popular. Darts, beer garden,, TV (not sky). Chidren welcome till 9pm. Open all day.

The Phoenix: 2 College Road 01709 511 121 (near the station) It's a free house with tiled floors and conservatry-style furniture, pool table, TV.

Butcher's Hotel A little further out, near the big bus depot. Small,
but very friendly. Good traditional food (you won't find avocado
and brie on ciabatta).

White Lion Hard to find but worth it, close to ground on the other
side of the old people's housing estate.

Town Centre Angel (close to bus station) Rhinocerous (Real Ale Pub
close to Angel) Mail Coach Phoenix (opposite Railway station)


These pubs are on route from M1 junction 35
The Drawbridge (5-10 minute drive to ground): Bass (with Stones, Caffreys). A large locals pub with, says the landlord 'friendly staff and good service'. Bar food 12-7 Pool, Darts, big-screen TV, patio. open all day from 12.
The Effingham Arms (10 minute drive to ground): Upper Wortley Road Tetleys. Bright, welcoming 'real family pub', with big steak menu, disabled facilities. Open all day.

These next pubs are all on route from M18
Sir Jack (15 minute drive to ground) Bawtry Road, Bramley 01709 543216: Tom cobbleigh PLC. Huge new family pub with full menu served 12-9.30 –Childrens play barn. Disabled facilities. Open all day
The Brecks Beefeater (10 minute drive to ground): Bawtry Road Popular beefeater restaurant. Varied menu, all very good value too, say the staff! Darts, TV. Disabled facilities. Open all day from 11.30 (restaurant from 12-10)

There is no alcohol available in the ground

Food

Advisable to eat the famous pukka pie in the ground (several varieties at 1.40 – very hot!) but there are a lot of alternatives outside the ground including fish and chip shops, cafe's and burger vans. Millmoor café opposite the ground includes chip butty for 1.00. Ehsan Balti House has fish & chips for 2.60. New café/takeaway called Reo’s on Masbrough Street between The Millmoor and Moulders Rest pubs. Recommended and does pasty, peas & drink for 1.60
