Directions:
Here are several routes - from various sources to get you to Anfield. Anfield is easily accessible from all major routes into Liverpool. The ground is only 3 miles from the city centre, 4 miles from the M62 and 7 miles from the end of the M57 and M58. The ground is well signposted from the city centre.
The first section gives directions to the Winslow Pub & Parking at Goodison as well: Probably the best and less congested way to Liverpool is via the East Lancs Road or the A580 as it's known else where. Get to the M62 heading towards Liverpool. Once on the M62 look for the M57 at the Junction roundabout (above the M62) go right towards Bootle/Southport/Kirkby not left toward Runcorn or the airport. Once on the M57 look for the A580 (exit 4 I think) take this exit and first left at the bottom of the slip road towards Liverpool. If you stay on this road for about 2 - 2.5 miles (when the road splits take the left fork) You will eventually see Evertons ground on your right keep going and you will come to a set of traffic lights with the Everton Mega store infront of you TURN RIGHT here and then immediately right again to run along side the ground. YOU are now in GOODISON road. The Ground car park is on your right and the WINSLOW pub is a bit further down on the left. You can't miss it.
So to make Brief: M62 M57 A580 city centre (left fork when it splits) Goodison Park on right Right at lights Immediate right again Car park on right Winslow further down on Left (100 - 150 yds)
Alternatively Follow the M62 until you reach the end of the motorway. Then follow the A5058 towards Liverpool. After three miles turn left into Utting Avenue. Proceed for one mile and then turn right at the Arkles pub for the ground.
Getting There...By Car from the North
Leave the M6 at Junction 23 and take the A580 (East Lancashire Rd) signposted to Liverpool. Follow the A580, passing under the M57 (11 miles) then under a railway bridge (2.75 miles) finally (0.75 mile later) turn left onto the A5058 (Queens Drive) towards Widnes. Proceed for 0.5 mile turning right at the lights into Utting Avenue. Pass under railway bridge which continues into Arkles Lane. The ground is just to the right at the far end of Arkles Lane, but you'd better start looking for somewhere to park before you get that far!
Getting There...By Car from the South and East
At the Liverpool end of the M62 keep in the right hand lane and take the signs for A5058 (Queens Drive). Stay on the A5058 passing St. Matthews Church (2.5 miles) finally turning left (in 0.5 mile) at the lights into Utting Avenue (Asda should be just visible on the right as you approach the lights). Pass under railway bridge which continues into Arkles Lane. The ground is just to the right at the far end of Arkles Lane, but you'd better start looking for somewhere to park before you get that far!
Getting There...By Car from North Wales and Wirral
From the end of the M53 or A41, pass through one of the Mersey Tunnels (Toll Fare). Whichever tunnel you use you should take the A59 (North/Preston) as you leave the tunnel. Follow this road until you see signs for the A580 (St. Helens and Manchester). As you reach the junction where the A59 meets the A580, keep in the right hand lane (A580), which turns right after the lights onto a hill (Everton Valley). As the road climbs up the hill at the start of the A580 (Everton Valley) keep in the right hand lane. After the first set of traffic lights use the right hand filter lane to turn onto the A5089 signposted Anfield. Anfield is down this road (Walton Breck Rd) on the left hand side, but you'd better start looking for somewhere to park before you get that far!
Parking around Anfield is a nightmare due to the resident parking scheme. You WILL be ticketed if you park illegally on match days or on corners/junctions. The Police say that around 30 cars are broken into around the ground on match-days (mainly during the game). Obviously the area is very congested after the games have concluded. You're best bet is to park away from the ground and get a cab.
There are a couple of car parks by Stanley Park, otherwise it as idea to park in the streets around Goodison and walk across Stanley Park to Anfield.
Also car park at Anfield Comprehensive School on Priory Road.
Alternatively Try parking at Albert Dock - from there you can group up to get a taxi upto Anfield. It could be easier than trying to park near the ground.
Parking will be easier around Goodison and if the official Everton car park is open for people to use, this is manned and very secure - cost 3.00 - entrance of Bullens Road.

Getting There...By Air
Liverpool Airport is approximately 10 miles from the Ground, and taxis should be easily obtainable. Alternatively, you can catch the 80A bus to Garston Station and change at Sandhills for the Soccerbus service(see below)
The main railway station in Liverpool is Lime Street which is over three miles from the ground and is really too far to walk, so jump in a taxi. Kirkdale station is the closest to the ground, but unfortunately it is not served directly by trains from Lime Street.
Getting There...By Train
Lime Street Railway Station is two miles from Anfield. A taxi from Lime St. will cost about £3.50 for up to 5 passengers. Buses go from nearby Queen Square Bus Station. On match days use the Merseyrail network to link with the Soccerbus service from Sandhills Station(see below).
You can walk to Liverpool Central Station and catch a Merseyrail Northern Line train to Sandhills. From Liverpool Lime Street platforms, turn left and then right out of station to main road. Go straigh on at pedestrian crossing, walking towards the pedestrianised town centre. Turn left by the large Wetherspoons pub on the corner and pas Yates Wine Lodge on right. At end of the road turn right - entrance to Liverpool Central station is on the left after about 100yds
To walk from Sandhills. - (about 1.3miles) Come up path out of station and turn right along Sandhills lane. At traffic lights continue up the hill on Lambeth Road with the park on the right. Turn right before the Lambeth Pub then after 100yds turn left into Whittle street. At Main Road turn left then bear right and up the hill following signs to St Helens A580 Straight over lights then turn right into Walton Breck Road. Ground is visible on left.
Getting There...By Bus
Take a 26 (or 27) from Paradise St. bus station or a 17B, 17C, 17D, or 217 from Queen Square bus station directly to the ground. The 68 and 168 which operate between Bootle and Aigburth and the 14 (from Queen Square) and 19 stop a short walk away.

DRINKING
There are Pubs all around Anfield and these will be full to the rafters with Liverpool Fans.
There are of course many pubs in the area and 3 including the Winslow between Goodison park and Anfield.
The Winslow has been previously recommended to us by an Everton fan The Winslow Public house is home of the Everton Supporters Cub (Goodison Branch). It’s friendly, comfortable and within walking distance of Anfield. If you arrive early enough am sure you will be able to park in the official Everton FC carpark. The staff will treat you well.. There are Numerous Large TV's plus one Large Screen, Hot and Cold food is available (if you hungry order a cattleman's) and for the more talented fans there is a Pool table. The Winslow is situated next to Goodison opposite the Players entrance on Goodison Rd.
Children will be more than welcome so long as they are not running around. For all those really into footie history the Winslow has some great original photo's dating back from the 1890's.
The Winslow is an easy 15 minute walk or a brisk 8 minute walk from Anfield, there will be no need for directions now, the staff at the Winslow will point you in the right directions or of course you could just follow every one else!
The Winslow is also recommended on the Internet football fans guide.
The nearest pub to the away end is a very large old fashioned looking place called The Arkles - 77 Anfield Road.If you park in the Stanley Park car park behind the away end of Anfield it is situated on the left hand corner of the road as you walk to the ground, less than 2 mins walk from the away turnstyles. The Arkles is very welcoming and when we’ve played at liverpool previously apparently normally full of Palace supporters. A massive pub, full of supporters on match days, it's worth a look in. Sandwiches, big screen TV - open all day.
The Salisbury - 121 Walton Breck Road, large screen tv, familes welcome, disabled facilities, Bar snacks before the game - open all day from midday.
The Breckside - Also known as The Flat Iron - 377 Walton Breck Road (corner of Anfield Road) The Breckside is just down the road from Anfield. Although it is called The Breckside, most people know it as the Flat Iron because of it’s shape. It can be found on Walton Breck Road & it doesn't get as busy as the pubs that are adjacent to the ground. Reputed to be the friendliest pub in liverpool. Sandwiches. Tv. open all day from 11.30
The Park - 194 Walton Breck Road
There are also pubs on Walton Lane or The Spellow
The pubs at the Kop end of the ground are very much 'home supporters only'.
I have included the following pubs - although they may be home only. It’s up to you whether to risk it!! The George Situated on the corner of Oakfield Road and Breck Road, the George is a decent place to grab a pint if you're walking to the ground. You can make Anfield in about 5-10 minutes on foot from here depending on how many you've had. You can get a pint of Carlsberg for £1.55 here and there's a big screen for the live games on Sky Sports.
The Sandon It is situated about 2 minutes away from the ground and it's worth a visit. They have Sky Sports coverage on a massive 10 foot big screen. The only thing is that a pint of Lager (Carlsberg) on match-days will cost you £1.67 where as on non-match days it is a lower £1.42 a pint.
Inside the ground Carlsberg is on sale at 1.90 a can.
FOOD
There are various take aways within a minute of this end of the ground.
Walton Breck Road has a good choice of takeaways incuding the Golden Dragon, the Karaghi Kop, the Moonlight takeaway - which offers football special pizzas for 3.40 - 4.40. Nearer the away end is the Liverpool Diner with hotdogs for 1.50. There is a McDonalds in the Kop Stand serving supporters inside & outside the ground. The Showcase cinema coomplex on the A580 has a deep pan pizza, a McDonalds & a KFC.
Inside the ground - Hot dogs, sausage rolls, pies, rolls, eccles cakes etc.
For those staying in Liverpool overnight here are a couple of recommended places to visit.
There are a number of B&B's in Mount Pleasant St, which is approximately 800 yards from Lime Street.

Adelphi Hotel A lot of Palace fans have already booked to stay at the Adelphi. When booking quote the laterooms.com price of £39.50 for a twin or double room.
Firstly, a club - The Blue Angel on Seel St. £1 to get in £1 a drink all night (or it was a few months ago). Not as trendy as some clubs in Liverpool, plays a mix of current chart music and old classics from the likes of James, Stone Roses etc.
Secondly a curry house - the UNI on Renshaw street, good food, although slightly more expensive than average, stays open late (as do most places in Liverpool) good for post-club grub.
If you get to Liverpool early, park down at the Albert Docks and go round "The Beatles Story" exhibition. It is a touch expensive to go visit, but there is lots of Beatles memorablia for true fans of the "Fab Four".
All information is correct to the best of my knowledge - but if it’s not don’t blame me!!!!!
