CPFC BBS Travel Information

Torquay v Palace - Carling Cup - Tues 12th Aug 2003 7.45pm

Torquay United v Crystal Palace
Tuesday 12th August 2003
K.O. 7.45pm

Club Details:
Torquay United
Ground Name: Plainmoor
Capacity: 6,000
Address: Plainmoor, Torquay, Devon, TQ1 3PS
Main Telephone No: 01803-328666

Around 1,100 away supporters can be accommodated in the new covered terrace that has been constructed at one end of the ground. This end has been named the 'Sparkworld Away Stand'. The club also makes 200 seats available to away supporters in the covered Main Stand. Torquay is a good place to go for a night out, and I think a few palace fans will be staying down there and making a night of it.

TICKETS

There are no tickets available from Selhurst Park for this match, all tickets will be on sale at Plainmoor on the evening for terracing and a small allocation of seats.
Prices: Terracing – Adults £11.00, Senior Citizens £8.00, Under 16s £5.00
Seats – Adults £12.00, Senior Citizens £9.00, Under 16s £5.00

DISABLED FACILITIES

Space for 15 visiting supporters in the Family Stand. Free for disabled person £5 for helper. Book through the club. For blind supporters there are 15 spaces in the main stand which also require booking.

HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR & WHERE TO PARK

At the end of the M5 follow onto A38 and then turn left onto the A380. On reaching Kingskerwell, take the first exit at the roundabout and after one mile turn left onto the A3022 (signposted Babbacombe). After 1 mile turn left into Westhill Road for Warbro Road. Street parking.

From the South West (Plymouth area)
Exit A38 at Marley Head junction follow Paignton signs for 11 miles into the Borough of Torbay. At crossroads/lights junction with the Ring Road, turn left onto the Ring Road. Straight on for just over 3 miles to the Gallows Gate Roundabout. Turn right into Marldon Road. After nearly 2 miles at t-junction turn left into Newton Road. Just after Texaco petrol station turn right. Ground signposted from here.

BY TRAIN
The ground is over two miles away from the main Torquay railway station and so a taxi (around £4) may well be the order of the day. Torre station (one stop before Torquay station but not all trains stop there) is closest to the ground. Walk up the hill opposite the station and it's a 10-15 min walk.

The Box Office are currently taking bookings for the coaches on 020 8771 8841 or to personal callers between 9.00am and 6pm Mon to Fri.
